We loved our stay! The house was clean, and there were so many small touches that made it enjoyable. From the wine to the extra toiletries to abundance of towels for the hot tub - everything we needed (and more) was at our fingertips. Would definitely stay here again!

We loved our stay at this beautiful property! It was great for our family, including our infant daughter and two cats. There are lots of luxurious touches and the kitchen is very well stocked with dishes, glassware, cooking supplies, etc. The bathrooms have an overabundance of towels and toiletries that smell amazing! And the yard is huge and frequently visited by a family of deer. The place is gorgeous and we can't recommend it highly enough.

We had a little bit of a hiccup with the lock and getting into the house initially, but the Juniper team resolved the issue quickly by sending someone to the house to make sure we got in. We stayed at the Bird Cage for our Mom and Adult Daughter weekend. It was the perfect place for our party of 5. The house is beautifully decorated and the host has ensured you have everything you will need for a comfortable stay. There were beach and bath towels, shampoo and bath soaps, laundry supplies, and everything you could possibly need in the well equipped kitchen. The back yard is nice with the hot tub and fire pit. In the morning as we drank coffee on the back patio, we saw deer walking through the yard. There are so many cute shops and wonderful restaurants minutes away in downtown Douglas and Saugatuck. Also really close is access to the beach and sand dunes. Would highly recommend!!

Had a great time at the birdcage. Property is beautiful and private. We had the best time relaxing in the hot tub and building a nice fire pit at the end of long days hiking the nearby trails. Highly recommend this spot esp for families or people with dogs, very kid and dog friendly stay.

Everything was spotless, check in was smooth, and management was prompt in replying to any questions we had. We enjoyed all of the thoughtful touches, like the welcome wine bottle for us and cookies for the kids, the little soaps and conditioners laid out in the bathrooms, etc. Everything you could want is in the kitchen, there were plenty of towels and blankets to go around, etc. Our crew really enjoyed the pool table and hot tub, as well as the nice deep tub in the master bath. It was a great way to have fun and relax after the holiday. The absolute hit for the younger kids was being able to boss Alexa around, which none of them have at home. Bathroom humor abounded! My only two items to note would be to have a cupboard available in the kitchen to put groceries. It's nice that there are so many gadgets and serving bowls, etc, but we realized there wasn't a space for the things we brought. We just ended up pushing some things toward the back in the top pantry cupboard to make room. Also, the main projector in the living room only had Apple play. We are an Android family, so we were unable to use the projector. I almost considered bringing our travel Roku, but left it at home. I would have been able to plug that into the second HDMI. There was a DVD player and Nintendo system, but I'm not sure how that would have been able to plug into the projector on the opposite wall. Those items did not impact our enjoyment of the space at all- thank you for a wonderful stay!

I recommend this place. They did a great job of making it feel like home. Furnishings were fantastic and house was cozy. Communication was prompt and all needs met. The only drawback was proximity to highway, so not complete tranquility, of course if you have kids with you it's not going to be a tranquil trip anyway ;). Hot tub was nice and used it several times. Pool table was a great touch and all rooms were updated.

The birdcage is the four seasons of air bnbs! Hands down one of the nicest ones we’ve stayed at! Beautifully decorated, comfy beds, spa like bathrooms, and the coziest couch for everyone to gather! We enjoyed our stay and couldn’t recommend it enough!

We had such a nice stay for my moms 60th birthday weekend. The place was super clean and had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook full meals! Location: Super close to both downtown Douglas and Saugatuck, by driving, but you're right in the highway, which you can hear and feel when you're hanging outside.

The Birdcage was absolutely amazing. It was hands down the most lovely and comfortable airbnb that I've stayed in. The home looked exactly like it did in the photos and the photos honestly didn't do the space justice. The location was so private yet close to downtown Douglas. We did have a small hiccup during our stay but was able to reach someone in the middle of a Sunday night and have the problem fixed early Monday morning. I could not have been more impressed with Juniper's quick response and resolution. Some of the other things my family of 7 enjoyed about The Birdcage were the wildlife in the yard, the comfy beds, the Keurig as well as the wide selection of k-cups, the pool table, the fire-pit, the comfy couch that we could play board games at....honestly I could go on and on. I would definitely recommend this rental and would stay here again.

Our family enjoyed a quick, but cozy stay at The Birdcage. Everything was as stated in the listing and beyond! We wanted for nothing the entire trip - even our dog was cared for as they left dog treats and disposable waste bags for him as well! There was a nice backyard where the kids played wiffle ball and had a bonfire. We had one small issue at arrival with the coded lock, but they were very responsive and helped right away. They had the most comfortable sofa and a home theater like set up, perfect for snuggling up for a movie before bed. The home is in very close proximity to many great shops, restaurants and beautiful Oval Beach. It was a great stay and we would definitely rent here again!

This place was perfect for our stay. it was super clean, roomy, and provided all things needed. Additional the welcome gifts were a sweet surprise that added to our stay. We traveled with adult children and their spouses as well as a couple of pets for a family wedding in June. The house sits back off road and is somewhat hidden driveway, so each of our travelers passed up driveway, but just turned around. We saw deer taking walking/eating in backyard both mornings and evenings. The mattresses were super comfy and the sound machines were a well thought of amenity because some family members stayed up and enjoyed the pool table so I did not hear any noise. This property also has hot tub but we did not get a chance to use. I highly recommend this place and if I am in need to return, I would rent here again.

This property was even better than the photos online. Wow! Every piece in the entirely spotless home was carefully curated for a peaceful and homelike experience with so many amenities it was difficult to even try to take advantage of all of them in merely a weekend.
After leaving, one of us realized that we'd forgotten a new pair of boots and contacted Amanda to see if they could be found. Not only did she get back to us almost immediately, but also said they'd take care to make sure they got back to their rightful home. Stellar customer service such as this is almost unheard of—and so very appreciated.
We'd love to return—one of our best stays in Saugatuck. Thank you!

The Birdcage is beautifully furnished, very clean, and nicely stocked with towels, paper products, soap/detergent, and toiletry items. Communication with Juniper Holiday & Home was great. They were professional, provided timely and detailed instructions, and were extremely quick to respond to any questions/concerns. Our family really enjoyed the hot tub and the pool table. We would highly recommend this property. The only caveat is that traffic noise is fairly significant (especially in the bedrooms), given the house's proximity to the freeway. Aside from that, this house did not disappoint. It was just as nice in person as it appears in the photos!

This home is absolutely beautiful and really well decorated. Our group of 6 adults, one kid and a dog fit well with room to spare. There was everything we needed and more. The location to downtown Douglas and Saugatuck was perfect. We really liked the hot tub and outdoor fire pit! Definitely recommend to others looking to enjoy Douglas/Saugatuck for a weekend or more.

The Birdcage is beautifully furnished, very clean, and nicely stocked with towels, paper products, soap/detergent, and toiletry items. Communication with Juniper Holiday & Home was great. They were professional, provided timely and detailed instructions, and were extremely quick to respond to any questions/concerns. Our family really enjoyed the hot tub and the pool table. We would highly recommend this property. The only caveat is that traffic noise is fairly significant (especially in the bedrooms), given the house's proximity to the freeway. Aside from that, this house did not disappoint. It was just as nice in person as it appears in the photos!

Very clean, comfortable home with great location and attentive host. Home has the all amenities for relaxing vacation. You can walk to downtown Douglas and it’s short a short hop to Saugatuck. Our family had memorable weekend.

Home was very nice and accurate to description. It is on a property located on longish drive away from light trafficked street. Very convenient location in regards to beaches, trails and towns of Douglas and Saugatuck.
